The ad for the new Fiat 500L Living to go on air

  • On 14 and 15 September: "open door" event in Fiat dealers across Italy

On 14 and 15 September, the entire Italian Fiat dealership network will hold an "open door" event to launch the new Fiat 500L Living, set to be supported by a multi-subject communication campaign using the major media and covering all European markets.


Devised by The Richards Group agency from Dallas (Texas), the ad was filmed in Lisbon and directed by Markus Walter on behalf of the Movie Magic production company. Episode one - on air in Italy from yesterday - wittily illustrates the extraordinary ability of the most compact '5+2 seater' MPV in its segment: measuring just 4.35 metres, it has room for 7 people or for 5 people and a boot offering a generous 638 litre load, the biggest in its category.


The ad stars 4 friends, 2 guys and 2 girls, on their way to a wedding in a 500L Living. While the two guys in the front seats are already perfectly dressed, the two girls at the back are late and so decide to change into their wedding attire in the back seats. The exhilarating scene sees the guys peek in the rear-view mirror while the car drives nimbly through the city streets. Just in time to get to the church, get out of the car and walk to the entrance like two perfect couples invited to the ceremony. The shot changes and you discover that there are two more seats in the third row: the ad ends with a fun surprise to back up the slogan of 'more room, more possibilities'.


The ad emphasises the winning features of the Fiat 500L Living, for living life to the full, combining unmistakeable 'made in Fiat' design with the optimum balance between interior space and exterior dimensions. What's more, despite being 20 cm shorter than a C-segment Station Wagon, the Fiat 500L Living ensures exceptional comfort, space and load capacity (638 litres), comparable to that of a compact station wagon, but in 20 cm less space and with the possibility of adding two seats.


That's why the new model is the perfect first vehicle for the whole family, a car which appeals to a wide range of consumers, thanks to its combination of style, functionality and efficiency. As demonstrated also by the range of engine versions available, including one petrol engine - the 105 HP 0.9 TwinAir Turbo - as well as two turbodiesels: the 105 HP 1.6 MultiJet II and the 85 HP 1.3 MultiJet II, the latter also with automatic transmission. Two 120 HP engines will be added before the year is out: the 1.6 MultiJet II turbo diesel and the brilliant 1.4 T-Jet petrol engine.


Last but not least, customers can choose between two trim levels (Pop Star and Lounge), both 5 or 7 seater, and a generous 282 colour combinations arising from the mixture of 8 different body colours, 11 two-tone combinations, 6 different interior trim levels and 3 wheel rim colours. What's more, the new Fiat 500L Living offers a wealth of standard equipment - including climate control system, ESC system, Uconnect touchscreen radio with steering wheel controls, Bluetooth, USB connection - and a broad range of optionals worthy of a higher segment, such as City Brake Control, integrated navigation system and rear camera to assist with reversing manoeuvres.
